A sci-fi double bill directed by Star Trek's John de Lancie ("Q"). Originally performed by Orson Welles' Mercury Theatre of the Air, the chilling 1938 broadcast of H. G. Wells' "War of the Worlds" about an invasion from Mars caused a nationwide panic. Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Lost World" is a rollicking adventure tale that follows a scientific expedition deep into the Amazon jungle - back into the time of dinosaurs and cave men. All performances are recorded to air on LATW's nationally syndicated radio theater series. May 13-17. www.latw.org.
