Hamlet: blood in the brain

Written by: Naomi Iizuka

Intersection for the Arts    10/26/2006 - 11/26/2006 (schedule)

Producer: Campo Santo

Category:  Drama · World Premiere

The pitch seems simple enough: "Hamlet: Blood in the Brain" by Naomi Iizuka is "Hamlet" set in Oakland. It's one war-torn kingdom standing in for another. But, as Intersection for the Arts program director Sean San Jose tells it, the journey from idea to implementation was just as much the point of the production as the actual play.
