This world premiere drama is the third offering from local playwright Gabriel Dean who happens to be the co-founder of Relativity Theatre Concern. Iron Moon tells the story of a rural Georgia family of misfits desperately seeking to connect with God and each other. It is the story of their collective journey toward redemption. The play is semi-biographical as it is inspired from real-life events in Mr. Dean’s own family. In the surrealistic haze of a dream the action of the play leaps in and out of reality, from 1939 to the present and from poetry to prose leaving the audience mesmerized. Although the play has a religious tone it is not for the faint of heart - as it puts faith to the test and reminds us of the potential horror of our own collective morality.
