The Essential of Crazy Wisdom
"A profound journey beyond science, philosophy, and psychology. Instant therapy!" -
by Daniel Goleman
Emotional Intelligence

Notes: Wes “Scoop” Nisker updates the metaphysics of his cult classic, The Essential Crazy Wisdom, and calls for a new spirituality—one that fits our modern, scientific worldview, but remains full of wonder and joy. For Nisker, it’s all about recognizing that your mind has a “thinking problem.” Anyone who’s been searching for crazy wisdom to help cope with today’s world has come to the right place!

Wes “Scoop” Nisker is a Buddhist meditation teacher, author, radio commentator, and performer. His best-selling books include The Essential Crazy Wisdom (Ten Speed), The Big Bang, The Buddha, and the Baby Boom (HarperCollins), and Buddha’s Nature (Bantam). He is also the founder and co-editor of the Theravada Buddhist journal Inquiring Mind. Nisker has studied Buddhist meditation for three decades with teachers in Asia and America, and for the past fifteen years has been leading his own retreats and workshops in Buddhist insight meditation and philosophy at venues internationally. He is an affiliate teacher at the Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre, California.
