Project: Educational Theatre was the brainchild of Bill Crumb, former "Mr. New Orleans Bodybuilder". Mr. Crumb produced two tours a year which traveled throughout Louisiana and Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi and others in the region before closing the doors in the mid 80's. Gathering most of his onstage and offstage talents including directors from New York, he sprinkled in a very small number of local New Orleans talents into his shows. Edward R. Cox traveled frequently with the troupe with roles written specifically for him and even Luis Q. Barroso directed one tour for Mr. Crumb. Modest yet generous budgets with state of the art special effects made these tours a major hit with the schoolboard of several states as well as their intended audiences alike.
