International Retreat: Slovakia, A Creative Trek for Writers and Artists
Open to artists of all disciplines and anyone over the age of 18

The 2012 International Retreat will be held in Slovakia from January 1-10. Writers and artists (of all disciplines and ages) will travel from western to eastern Slovakia and visit five distinct communities throughout rural and urban areas of the country during its most-celebrated holiday season.
The International Retreat is designed to allow artists the opportunity to work creatively in a foreign environment. Students of painting,
writing, music or theater are encouraged to shape their own experience – implementing the lectures, workshops, tours and other location-specific events, as well as attending daily informal group-sharing sessions. Ideally artists are either in the midst of a project or desire to create a new project based on this experience.
Established in 2006, Dramatic Adventure Theatre provides the opportunity for artists to perform around the world, to explore the
unknown and the familiar, and to become intimately involved with distant communities in order to build a platform where ideas, talent, and original works can be shared. We are working hard to assemble just the right team for the International Retreat. We are only taking a limited number of individuals with us on this creative trek across Slovakia, and we want to make sure that those individuals involved are passionate about their art and making an impact on this planet; who want to grow as artists and see others grow, and who have a unique perspective to add to the [collective].
