Just a reminder that the Storer Boone Awards Ceremony will take place at:

le chat noir
Monday, April 21th
Bar opens at 6:30p, doors open at 7p, and the ceremony will commence at 7:30p

This year's Lifetime Achievement Award recipient is Ricky Graham
The Humanitarian Award recipient is Kathy Randels.
"Uncle" Wayne Daigrepont will be the Master of Cermonies.

If you are planning to attend, here is a note from Barbara Motley:
"President Bush is going to be in town at a Summit at Gallier Hall on Monday and Tuesday.  The FBI just announced that it is closing from noon Monday until Tuesday afternoon the area that is bounded by Poydras, Girod (where Herbsaint is), Carondelet and Camp.  This does not technically include Le Chat Noir's address, but it closes off our block on one end and more importantly, blocks entry to the parking lot next door (because St. Charles is one way, not in our favor).  However, I called the special DDD unit of the NOPD and they have agreed to station two policemen at the corner of Julia and St. Charles beginning at 6:30 so that our attendees can drive down Julia to St. Charles, turn right onto St. Charles (this is going the right way down Julia (from Magazine), but the wrong way down St. Charles) into our lot.  They will keep officers stationed at this intersection until 1am or so to allow cars to exit the lot, drive down St. Charles toward Uptown .  Look at a map and you can see what streets will be closed.  I think we can assume that travel on close by streets will be monitored."

Subject: Different routing for cars - SBA tonight

From Uptown or the expressway, take Carondelet toward Poydras; turn right onto Girod (one block after you cross Julia); go one block and turn right onto St. Charles.  You will be turning onto the Le Chat Noir block.  Parking in our lot on your right, or curbside between Girod and Julia.

Sorry for the changes.  See you tonight!
