Notes: Originally slated for a May 6, 1955, opening, the illness and replacement of Jennifer Walter as Isabella caused a postponement until the end of June. Judy Bennett took her place. The delay also caused the defection of Melvin Graziano (Edgar), John Bourgeois (Hareton), and Joy Anne Cuoco (Catherine Linton). The men were replaced by Emmett Johnson and Lee Sens, respectively. Cuoco was replaced by her friend Janet Bagnetto. It would have been the New Orleans debut of Janet Bagnetto Shea but, in the interim, Sr. Mary Joanna and Ed Nelson recommended Janet (and Joy Anne) to Monroe Lippman who was casting the chorus of The Birds at Le Petit Theatre. Thus, that became Janet's initial appearance.
