The play will take place over 2 weekends in November in 2 neighborhoods — the middle of an intersection in the Lower 9th Ward & the front yard of an abandoned house in Gentilly.
The production re-imagines post-Katrina landscape of New Orleans as the setting for the 20th century’s most emblematic story of waiting, and in doing so, illuminates the personal & political conditions facing the people of New Orleans & the evacuees in surrounding cities.

Samuel Beckett's classic 'Waiting for Godot' arrives on a street corner in the blighted Lower 9th Ward to overflow crowds, and demonstrates just how powerful and relevant theater can be in post-K New Orleans.
