Before the 1st anniversary of Katrina, Rob Florence's show "Fleeing Katrina" played to positive reviews at New York's Midtown International Theatre Festival. For this 2nd anniversary, the play returns home. "Fleeing Katrina" is monologue play based on factual experiences which has been described as "Hurricane Katrina evacuation meets 'Native Tongues.'"

The show features a live performance by the legendary Al "Carnival Time" Johnson; stars Harold Evans, Suzaune Yee McKamey, Bob Scully, Janet Shea, Phil Tracy, Wilbert Williams, Michael Zarou, plus Rudy Rasmussen as himself; and is directed by Rob Florence.
