It’s time for that special magic to return to the Gulf Coast in the form of this long-running hit from Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt: The Fantasticks. Casting for this fun, funny, and inspiring production will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday March 26 and Tuesday March 27. This ...all-new production is going to be lively, funny, and full of color and wonder. Casting for men ages 16-80 (with some non-singing roles) and for women age 16-25 (must sing). There will also be casting for two non-singing, non-speaking roles that will serve as the “mutes”. These mutes will be the featured dancers throughout the show, so ballet, modern, and lyric dance experience will be helpful.
To be considered for a singing role, please prepare 60 seconds of a musical theatre song. An accompanist will be available.
To be considered for one of the mute roles, please prepare 45-60 seconds of a movement piece. Any style is acceptable. Dancers age 16-80 encouraged!!
This show is going to be a lot of fun, and will shatter expectations of “traditional” musical theatre.
