In their acclaimed productions to date,THREE TALL WOMEN and WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?, Silk Dress Productions has been devoted to highlighting the feminine divine, the goddess, in the work of a great writer often considered borderline misogynist due to his famously troubled relationship with his adoptive mother. Variations of his mother appear time and again in his work. Culling dozens of Albee plays for powerful scenes and monologues,artistic director Jennifer Growden has assembled a one-of-a-kind evening of entertainment. Supplementing these selections with original material inspired by Albee's women, Unexpected Goddesses will take a unique look at a unique playwright.
A powerhouse team of actresses will present these pieces, making it sure to be an unforgettable evening of theatre. Scheduled to appear:
