Local award-winning performance innovators ArtSpot Productions and Mondo Bizarro, in collabora- tion with the Gulf Restoration Network and City Park, present Loup Garou, a new environmental performance that uses rigorous physicality, poetry, music and visual installation to investigate the deep interconnectedness between land and culture in Louisiana. Loup Garou opens at sunrise on October 8, 2009 in the abandoned fields of City Park. This outdoor performance includes post-show discussions about coastal land loss with the Gulf Restoration Network. With Thursday morning performances beginning at sunrise and weekend evening performances ending at sunset, Loup Garou is part performance, part ritual, part howl to the world about southeast Louisiana’s plight. We invite you to join us as we sing a song of love and hope for our precarious homeland.
