Tony Wendice has married his wife, Margot, for her money and now plans to murder her for the same reason. He arranges the perfect murder. He blackmails an old acquaintance to kill his wife and arranges a brilliant alibi for himself. Unfortunately...the murderer gets murdered and the victim survives. Tony jumps on the opportunity to have his wife convicted for the murder and sentenced to death. It is up to a young man who is in love with Margot and an inspector from Scotland Yard to discover the truth before it is too late.
Dial ‘M’ for Murder premiered in 1952 as a BBC television play, before being performed on the stage in the same year (West End and then Broadway).The play was written by Knott, who also wrote Wait Until Dark recently starring Taliancich, Gendusa, Bello, and directed by Caire.
Dial ‘M’ for Murder will run in the St. Philip Parishioner Center, St. Philip Neri Campus, 6600 Kawanee Ave. in Metairie, on July 31, August 1 @ 7:30 p.m. and August 2 @ 2:30 p.m. Ticket info is $10 for reserved, $8 for adults and $5 for children.
