A…My Name Is Alice is a musical revue about being a woman in contemporary society. It was produced Off-Broadway at the Village Gate Theater in 1983 with works from twenty-eight different writers, including Amanda McBroom ("The Rose") and Carol Hall ("The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas"). The cast consists of five women, originally played by Roo Brown, Randy Graff, Mary Gordon Murray, Alaina Reed, and Charlaine Woodard, who all play several different characters throughout the revue. The music ranges from 60's doo-wop and wistful pop ballads to soul-filled rhythm & blues!
