Based on the ancient story, Eurydice is the wife of Orpheus, the greatest musician in the world. She dies on their wedding day, and is taken to the Underworld, where she is dipped in the River of Forgetfulness. In the Underworld she meets her father, who painstakingly restores her memory. Orpheus uses his extraordinary musical powers to reach Eurydice in the Underworld, and convince the Lord of the Underworld to restore her to the living. Eurydice must then choose between her husband and her father, between life and death.
