What would happen if the great figures of time, space, and physics got together and put on a show? That's the question that is answered in "Light My Way", a musical revue having it's workshop premiere at the 2007 Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival. With music, book & lyrics by Don Hopkinson, this charming cabaret brings together all the greats of the heavens. With Gallileo (John Gracey) as the urbane Master of Ceremonies, the party includes Albert Einstein (Vatican Lokey), the explorer Magellan and visionary Nostradamus (both played by Kyle Harden), En Heddu'ana (Heather Barbour), creator of the lunar calendar, a young soon-to-be-king David (Carlos Saenz), and the embodiment of the constellations Virgo (Leyla Lawrence), Andromeda (Audrey Patton), and Perseus (Gerard DePrinzio). The workshop features almost 2/3rds of the score, including the title number, "When My Name is Written in the Stars", "Living, Breathing Thing," "Connect the Dots", "I Can See it All Now," and more. Addtional material for this workshop provided by Vatican Lokey and Adam Williams.
