In pre-WWI England, The Birling family is the picture of success and smug self-satisfaction as they celebrate the engagement of their daughter. Their gaiety is cut short by the arrival of a sinister Inspector, who is investigating the suicide of a young village girl. One by one, the skeletons in the Birling closet come pouring out under the Inspector’s relentless interrogation, and secret after secret is revealed, leading to a unexpected and eerie twist.
