There has never been a musical like Cabaret, originally starring Joel Grey as the eerily grinning emcee. Cabaret won eight Tony Awards in 1967, including Best Musical, and the film version featuring Liza Minelli won 8 Academy Awards. With music and lyrics by the same team that composed Chicago, John Kander & Fred Ebb's score features Willkommen, Maybe This Time, Don't Tell Mama and the show-stopping title tune.
