"UNPLUGGED" is an original hip-hop musical drama with a new medium that's a combination of soul-searching drama and music. It's the story of a fabulous boy band having internal problems with their "slick" manager and their own identity/sexual crises. The story introduces a new quartet of young musical performers that epitomizes the current hip-hop scene, with fourteen high-energy, original hip-hop songs accompanied by the ABCT dancers. This show is about their growth in the business, their trials and tribulations and the troubles and confrontations that a group of young boys face growing up in the rough music business. Be prepared to be shocked, be prepared to be anticipated and be prepared to fall in love with "UNPLUGGED"!!
"UNPLUGGED" is written and directed by Anthony Bean and choreographed by Arieuna McGee. Performances take place June 6-8, 13-15, 20-22 and 27-29, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $20.00 for adults and $18.00 for students and seniors and are available by calling the Box Office at (504) 862-7529 (Box Office hours are Tuesday-Saturday at 2-6 p. m. and two hours before performances.)
