Fred, who dubbed himself the director and male lead of the play, falls in love with
Lois Lane who plays Bianca. Lois, however, already has a lover, Bill, who plays
Lucentio.
Lilli, who is now a movie star and has a reputation for being difficult, enters the
picture playing the roll of Katharine.
Things quickly heat up when Bill is visited by two gangsters who have come to
collect his gambling debts. Bill used Fred's name on the IOU, so the gangsters
confront Fred instead of Bill.
Fred and Lilla put the problems they had in the past behind them and start to
remember their previous performances together.
Feelings slowly start returning for the pair. Emotions take off when a bouquet of
flowers sent by Fred were given to Lilli instead of Lois, as they were intended, and
Lilli falls more and more in love with Fred.
When she realizes the flowers were not meant for her, she gets angry and
threatens to quit the show.
In the end, everyone ends up happy. Bill and Lois are together and Fred and Lilli
reunite.
