NEW ORLEANS, LA – In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, The NOLA Project Theatre Company returns to a devastated New Orleans in search of artistic inspiration. But when its members begin to mysteriously disappear, their search becomes a desperate journey through a labyrinth of horror, history, science-fiction, and Shakespearian texts to discover who, or what, “The Thing,” is…before it is too late. Conceived, directed, and written especially for The NOLA Project by the Tulane Shakespeare Festival’s Associate Artistic Director, Jim Fitzmorris, this brand new, original work will have audiences on the edge of their seats and immensely entertained. “It’s a real thrill working with one of the city’s most collaborative companies,” compliments Fitzmorris. NOLA Project artistic director Andrew Larimer says "Working with Jim is like riding an intellectual roller coaster. The show is fast and furious, with a lot of suspense and a lot of fun." The show will open on July 25 and perform regularly on Fridays and Saturdays through August 16. All performances will begin at 7:30 P.M. and will take place at Tulane’s Lab Theatre.
