The New Orleans premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical, based on the P. G. Wodehouse novels. Set in an old music hall outside of Kent, British playboy Bertram Wooster (Gary Rucker) arrives to play his banjo for a benefit, only to discover that his banjo has been lifted. His faithful manservant Jeeves (Vatican Lokey) suggests he reminisce upon his exploits to keep the crowd entertained, resulting in the revelation that Bertram depends heavily on Jeeves to help him navigate the tricky waters of British society and man-hungry women looking to marry. Innovative staging and a catchy score illuminate this music box gem of a show.
