Established in 2002, The Rosewater Theatre has presented a number of successful performances.
The Rosewater Theatre Company is owned and operated by husband and wife team Lisa Sherouse Riley and G. Scott Riley. Offering professional quality productions, they intend to enhance the community's theatre scene by developing a thoroughly creative atmosphere through their programs and classes. Their goal was to bring high quality family entertainment to the residents of Forsyth County and surrounding areas by offering a variety of plays and musicals. Although they put on professional quality shows, they also strongly encourage local talent to audition and participate in their shows. They are a company dedicated to long-term relationships with their patrons. They aim to be known as the premiere theatre company in the greater Forsyth County area by embracing the local community and it's residents.
November of 2004 marked the arrival of The Rosewater Theatre Company to The Cumming Playhouse where they staged Charles Dickens' classic tale "A Christmas Carol." Due to overwhelming popularity they brought the three spirits and old Ebenezer Scrooge back again for Christmas 2005 and it was a huge success.
Since then, the Rosewater Theatre Company have presented 6 main stage shows at the Cumming Playhouse including Nunsense, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Deadwood Dan, Little Shop of Horrors, A Christmas Carol and Last of the Red Hot Lovers.
The Rosewater Theatre Company believes in giving back to the local community and donates proceeds from one of their Christmas shows to a local charity annually. The United Way of Forsyth County has been the recipient for the past two years.
The Rosewater Theatre Company is always in search of new talent and volunteers. If you would like to be a part of one of our upcoming shows please contact us at 770-888-3393 or contact us via email at :
