MISSION: The mission of the Louisiana Lyric Opera is to produce professional music theatre and light opera productions each summer for the Ark-La-Miss region.

OBJECTIVES:

* Produce three shows between July 5 and August 20 each summer.

* Provide opportunities to see professional musicals and light opera for students and citizens of all ages within the region.

* Provide a regional economic magnet to help with economic development.

* Hire principal actors with Broadway experience.

* Hire a resident ensemble of college and early professional performers through competitive auditions.

* Cast area citizens into productions through local auditions.

* Cast area children and teens, as needed, through local auditions.

* Hire production and technical staff to design, mount and work backstage for each show.

* Include an educational/apprenticeship component with each show.
