I have always been very passionate about Costume Design. When I was very young I asked my mom for sewing lessons. I could not get enough of color and texture. Later I saw my first musical in San Francisco at the Orpheum theater, Kiss Me Kate and I feel in love with theater and costume design.
I graduated from University of California Irvine in 2007 with a major in Drama and an honors in costume design as well as a minor in Anthropology. Due to the limited number of Graduate students in the design program I was able to take several graduate courses not normally offered to undergraduate students such as Costume Design, Rendering Techniques, Millinery and Costume History. I also had the experience to design and assist with many plays while at UCI.
Upon graduation I had an internship at South Coast Repertory. Then later went on to work for South Coast Repertory as well as Chapman University. I have worked as an assistant, crafts person and sticher, as well as a designer.
Along with my love for designing comes my love for traveling. From 2007-2008 after graduating I took up the opportunity to live and work in Spain while attending many wonderful productions overseas. An amazing opportunity for me.
