Wanda, the Sweetheart of New Orleans and one of the Crescent City’s premier musical ambassadors, leads her own band, A Taste of New Orleans,and performs all over the world. Singer, actress, choreographer, grand marshal and educator, Wanda is the quintessential, Big Easy performing artist. Her show business career spans nearly fifty years. See regularly at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, French Quarter Festival, Tulane University’s Commencement, Harrah's New Orleans Casino and many other special events and places. Wanda has been honored with awards from Gambit Magazine, The City of NO, Xavier University Preparatory, Young Leadership Council, Contemporary Arts Center, Offbeat Magazine, New Orleans Magazine, Jazz & Heritage Festival & Foundation, Ladies in Red, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, St. Mary's Academy, Ladies of Distinction, Asante, La Creole, Save our Cemeteries and more. She has served her community by participation on the Board to rebuild NOCCA, The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra Board, The Jazz & Heritage Foundation Advisory Board and the Xavier University Preparatory Board.
