A native of Auburn Alabama, Whatley relocated to Chicago eleven years ago. Since then he has acquired a wife, a mortgage, a master's degree, and two puppies. In addition he has served as an actor, director, or dramaturg on approximately thirty theatrical productions with companies such as The Hyppocrites and Eclipse.
